Do context attribute need synchronization?

As more than one thread can attempt to modify context attribut, would not be a good idea to synchronze the modification code on the contect attribute?

Synchronization results in performance bottleneck. Use it wisely. If too many threads access the contextAttribute, and its synchronized, you may want to think about your design again.
