If you can wait, of course, Kathy and Bert are going to release their new cool book: Head First Servlet and JSP, which is designed for SCWCD 1.4. The book has been scheduled to be released in July.

If you cant wait, you may use: SCWCD Exam Study Kit for the Servlet and general JSP part, and Java Server Page 3rd edition for advanced JSP part (like EL, Tag file, etc).

Usually, experiences are more important than certifications. And thus, if you have no experiences on a certain technology, even you get certified, that may not be much helpful.

Nick, I really appreciate your help to SCWCD aspirants here... Here there are thousand millions times people asking such same old question and you are trying to reply them as much as you can...

I think it's better, if you save your reply in a text file and whenever people ask, you just need to paste it....hahaha...

Well done, Nick...

Hi Sundar,
You can refer SCWCD material by Hanumanth Deshmukh

Doing certification will help you to get understand things better. Of-course it will help you to get better place, I mean if your working as developer and if your looking for a change in Solution Architect then better understanding is alawys better. So in-that way it will be useful.
