The yet-to-be released HeadFirst Servlets & JSP book is available for pre-order at different prices from several vendors.

Amazon has it for 30.57 something with free shipping.

BookPool.com is offering the same for 28.50 with free shipping.

The est release date is Jul ' 2004.

Kathy / Bert , anyone on the ranch-

Would you be knowing which would be the best place to pre-order so that we get it with minimum delay after it is released.

I have read on an other discussion topic that the books would not be available immediately with all the vendors.

Im sitting tight waiting for Amazon to get theirs. The first published on the 6th July was changed to 4-6week wait on the 9th and has been changed to: no published now !

I hope there are no major problems!

I'm waiting for mine as well. The shipping date estimate was 7-6 and it's still not shipped. This is getting to be a little frustrating. Kathy or Bert, can you shed some light on what the hold-up is ?

Kathy had said on another thread that amazon would get the first print copies so I imagine that you would get it fastest from them. That's what I'm banking on. I've got my pre-order placed with them.

Hi guys -

Sorry!

We've almost got this thing wrestled to the ground. I expect Amazon will be the fastest - up to now it's been our delays. The good news about us being late is that you'll be getting more pages for your dollar! (It kept growing on us, but we've finally got it cornered  .)

O'Reilly does an amazingly fast job of taking our pdf's and turning them into a book - at this point we're estimating late, late July / early August for you Amazon types.

As we get more info we'll post it here!

Thanks,

Bert
