i earlier use textpad at the time of scjp preparation . now
for scwcd which IDE should i use ???

I don't think you sould focus on IDE now. It takes some learning curve. Just use Textpad & compile it in DOS prompt.

I'm not quite as purist as Kannan. If you have already got used to the Eclipse IDE following your SCJP (so you don't have a learning curve associated with that), take a look at the Lomboz plug in from ObjectLearn.

I take Kannan's point, though. With Lomboz, you don't need to let it do much of the work for you - just enough to make you productive (it's great for repeatedly deploying WAR files to Tomcat). Avoid letting Lomboz build your deployment descriptor for you (web.xml), because you need to learn how to do that by hand.
