help needed in JSTL

Hi,
When i am trying to call sample.jsp with the following code :

Hello,
I didn't get to the tag library chapter yet but I think that you have to define http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core in your deployment descriptor (web.xml) to point to the correct core tags JAR file. This JAR file should also be placed under the WEB-INF/lib directory I think.

Hello charasia,
Tomcat 5.0 need not require the JSTL mappings to be placed in web.Try placing the standard.jar, jstl.jar in the webapps\<your web app>\WEB-INF\lib
directory.

Try download the jakarta standard taglibs from apache jakarta site.

Anyway u can try this
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-02-2003/jw-0228-jstl.html if u have tomcat version <5.0 But from tomcat 5.0 you need have any web.xml entry for JSTL.
The jar files are referred by tomcat itself.

placing the standard.jar, jstl.jar in the webapps\<your web app>\WEB-INF\lib works.
