Hi,

I am guessing that you mean SCWCD not SCJWD. If I am wrong then ignore this post as I don't know what certification you are referring to or which authors or indeed which book.

I think that the Authors (Kathy, Bert, and Bryan) of HFSJ, admit that there are a couple of very minor areas in the book that they don't cover, but that they cover 99% of what you will come across in the exam. The only areas that they leave out are ones that are very minor and there is only likely to be a single qu on in the exam.

The list of topics in the exam can be found here

Hi,

There is one in the back of HFSJ, another one here and then ther are others on the web such as here, but be warned that some of the mocks on the web are for the old version of the exam cx310-080 not cx310-081

I should add, given your previous question, that most people on this list seem to use the HFSJ book to get them through the exam and a number of them do very well in the real exam. So if you are OK with the head first style then don't worry about it not covering areas that you need to pass the exam.

Good luck with the study

HTH

Hi Parameswaran,

in details (when you click that link) you can read:

"The Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition 1.4 Upgrade certification exam is for candidates who have already successfully completed the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform (any edition) and Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (310-080) examinations."

So, if you have the old certification (CX-310-080, i think it was JSP 1.2, Servlet 2.3), you can upgrade it for $100 to new one (CX-310-081, JSP 2.0, Servlet 2.4) by doing upgrade exam (CX-310-082). So, it is interesting for you only if you already have an old certificate, it is not the latest version.
