Study Group.

Hi,

I want to create a study group for SCWJD. In the group, we would set topic-wise deadlines, email conversations and tele-confs'.

I would like to set realistic but tough deadlines, and would appreciate only dedicated professionals.

I cleared SCJP almost a couple of years back, 87%. Want to start studying for SCWCD. I got 6-7 years' programming experience and am staying in NY.

I am interested to be a part (active ) of this study circle .I have completed my SCJP1.4 in 30 jan '06 with 96%. And now preparing for SCWCD .
Setting up deadlines and then discussing things is a great idea .Lets implemnt it.

But, unfortunately I am not able to find the materials to start with. is the latest virsion of manning(Second edition - relevent for CX 310 - 081) available in market as indian print?

You should buy HFSJ(Head First Servlet & Jsp) and just start .This book is available in the indian market.Its a great book ....

hi sanka the manning book is available in market i just bought it a month back. it is also a good book but then HFSJ is the best.

can start it from this saturday..(But i feel we should have a common book ,i have HFSJ ,and i would recommend u all for this but again its ur decision..)

with an assumption that everybody has got HFSJ. lets start with chapter 1.
deadline sunday morning. what say guys. i don't think that chapter 1 would b that tough and one day is enough for it. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnjoy.

if someone has already made then let us all know about it .

According to me using this forum for group study wont be very efficient .
Its better if we go for yahoo-group or chat room.
Chat rooms seems to be the best solution .But we should have yahoo group for back up.I am going to make a yahoo group for the same .

Also,its true 10 am IST would be to early outside india.Thats why,according to me it should be 7:30 pm Sunday in India and 10 am EST there in (NY).Please check ur time according to 7:30 pm IST (India).

I hope that this wont be too much inconvinient.Lets decide on comman timeings.
