Hi All,
I joined the group today itself. Cleared my SCJP exams recently with 80 %. Planning to go for the SCWCD exam. But I do not have any experience in JSP and Servlets. Had done some self study. I hope I will be able to cope up for the exam.

Hey Georgy,

Thanx! Dat was really inspiring. I have started with my preparation, beginning with the Head First book. I am simply going through the details of the chapters now. Presently am in the 5th Chapter, " Attributes and Listeners". I am finding it a bit difficult. Am stuck at the context, request and session scope thing.trying to understand.I hope I will find u guys help who have already cleared the exam.

Thanks once again.

Hey Vikram,
congrats for ur score in SCJP. Wen I started off the preparation, I was like guided by the members to start with the Head First series. So I did the same. Jst go thru the previous mails of guys who have cleared the exam, if u havnt yet. They giv u an idea , regarding how to prepare for the exam.
warm regards,
Swati.

Hi Swati. Good luck for the test. Noce job on SCJP.
Main thing is to ask question if you have a problem.
Just remember that the hard works do pay off if you
study hard on the test.

Hi guys,

Have just passed my SCJP5 and am now preparing for SCWCD. Would like to get some help and give some while preparing... so are you all starting with HSFJ ? What other book are you referring to?

I've also found understanding the SCWCD material a bit challenging.

Things that have helped me understand the SCWCD material was my 4 years of Microsoft ASP web development experience, company training in XML, and personal self-training in design patterns (Gang of Four & Martin Fowler).

Without this background I probably would have found the material extremely frustrating to comprehend. I'm hoping to take this test by July.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
