Is Javaranch planning to update its review about Manning's SCWCD Study Kit Second Edition ?
I think that it's a dreadful book and must be taken with care.

The official errata is not even updated, and they don't even apologize for lying to customers. When a book says "completely updated to the new exam", it should at least have the right DTDs for web.xml and TLD.

We do rely on JavaRanch and trust its opinion - keeping the recommendations up to date is very welcome.

Thanks for bringing this up!

That book doesn't get mentioned much on the forum here anymore. It used to be that just by lurking a few of the threads here it would be obvious that the old version of the book was excellent and the more recent version not so great.

If you feel that something should change in the Bunkhouse's reviews, contacting Mapraputa Is might be your best bet.

That's right. But some fellow ranchers do, and one of them had some hard time recently with it. It should be fair to put a "buy at your own risk" in a review I'll try to contact Mapraputa then. Thank you.

You showed up just in time for the waffles! And this tiny ad:
