I have been working on another 69 question SCWCD mock exam and need some testers to use it. Access to the exam requires a pass key which I will give to anyone who spots and error or gives feedback resulting in an update to any of the material on my site. My site is probably the biggest currently freely available set of information on the web for the SCWCD exam. The item I am particularly looking for feedback on is the summary exam. See the material at

Hey Marcus,

I followed your link and clicked summary quiz at the bottom.

Personally, I didn't sit the whole quiz (would take a long time), but it all seemed to work.

My feedback would be:
- Why do I need to log in? I know when studying for the exam in my lunch breaks and after work, time is limited. So, it frustrated me when I had to create accounts for each website I tried. Was good to simply dive in to a test when you had a spare 15 minutes.
This isn't the case with Java Ranch's Exam, or These, and many of these. I then needed to "enrol in a course" unless I've gone completely off track?
- The page seems to be quite wide in firefox as I get "Pages:" then 1 to 69 which tends to scroll off the screen.
- "save without submitting" vs. "submit all and finish". Could we have a "submit" button which moves onto the next screen automatically? Shame to have to save, and then find the link of the next question (which could involve scrolling).

Aside from above, the questions I answered all seemed pretty good (I'm ashamed to say I only did about 5 and got one wrong! ).

I know when preparing for this exam, I tended to learn far more using these mock exams which would challenge things you thought you knew, and I think they have a real impact on exam grades.

Keep up the good work!

There are two reasons. One is so that a student can check there scores over time, i.e. as they are not anonymous they can see what score they got previously. The other is that the system is designed for an educational environment where there is a need to track access to the system. For me an additional reason is that I use the system for delivering commercial paid for content and thus I want the ability to restrict access.

Yes, that is an annoyance it would be good if the numbering wrapped around after a certain amount. Well I have the code and I guess I could hack it

Very interesting idea.

Many thanks for your feedback. Most appreciated.

No problem.
Always willing to give feedback - especially after I found your SCJP mock exams so useful. Spent a lot of last summer sat in the garden with them printed out in a giant binder.

Thanks Marcus, I succesfully cleared SCWCD with a good percentage. Your examulator.com helped me alot. Sincerely I read only material designed by you and I recommend it for all exam takers. My preparation was for only 2 weeks and for short durations I believe no other tutorial than examulator is better. I would like to see tutorials in examulator.com for other SUN certifications too. Thanks again.

Many thanks for your feedback and especially your correction material. I have been working on the SCWCD material since last April a year and four months ag and I consider it finished now at 54,000 words. I am going to take a break from writing about Java for a while and play my guitar for a while.
