Now I am reading for the Sun Certified Web Component Developer Exam 1.4.
I am using Kathy's Head First Servlets and JSP (1st Edition, Released: July 2004). One of my colleague said that Sun has changed the objectives since the release of Kathy's Study Guide. Is it true? If it is true, what objectives were dropped and what were added? Where could I find the study materials for the added objectives.

Head First Servlets and JSP's "Sixth Indian Reprint" what I have with me corresponds to SCWCD 1.4 (Exam 310-081).

To my knowledge, the objectives have not changed since HFSJ was first printed. The only thing not covered in HFSJ is dynamic attributes, to which Bryan Basham made a supplement and posted it to the SCWCD forum here. You can find it under ScwcdLinks.

Giritharan,
don't worry, objectives have not changed since the release of the books. Your friend might be confusing with Head First EJB for the SCBCD certification.

And don't forget to print out Marc's design patterns guide too:
