hi, as many of you already know there is a Java EE 5 exam listed
in the certification database that means (i think) that an exam
with java EE 5 is going to be released, also i've seen in amazon
that HFSJ 2nd edition is going to be released in 2008, here is
the link

i wanted to prepare for the SCWCD exam but i think i should wait, because
it seems that a new exam will appear and maybe (again, this is a guess)
the HFSJ 2nd edition will cover it, anyone has information about this?

thanks in advance

Wow, that's a really good price! I'm sorry, what?

I wonder why the book's description says:

Isn't it time you learned the latest (J2EE 1.4) versions of Servlets & JSPs?

Shouldn't HFSJ2 be about Java EE 5?

There is sometimes only a loose connection between the descriptions on Amazon and the real world. For example I co-authored a book and the actual book had my name on the cover (as I expected). The graphic on Amazon did not have my name on it.

In the case of the HFSJ book the descriptions of the current and the (theoretical) next version is aboslutly identical, i.e. someone has simply copied out the old description. So I think you should take no notice of that Amazon listing at all.

That's a shame.

I wonder btw why the authors always seem to start writing their book after a new (major) version of an exam is released. Wouldn't it be an idea to negotiate with Sun to have the details of a new exam made available to the authors before it is actually released? That wise books might be made available as soon as a new exam is released.
