Hi guys,

Will we have a new version of HFSJ for SCWCD 5.0 soon?

The objectives for that exam do not seem to have been published and on the basis that creating a decent book takes many months, don't hold your breath.

Wouldn't it be an idea if writers could get hold of (preliminary) objectives in advance? In that way, a new book could be released relatively fast after final objectives are published.

I have been thinking that since around 1998 when I first started writing about Java certifications. I have a feeling that no authors get a preview. It sometimes feels like Sun Education see third party developers as competition or opposition rather than adding adding to the whole certification eco system. In my view the more quality resources available, the greater the reputation of the certification.
