Hi Ranchers,

I had a real quick question for you, If you could answer, I will be grateful. The question is, How much filters carries importance while preparing for SCWCD. HSFJ covers them but I do not see any of topic saying filters on WCD exam objectives?

Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Muks

You can expect questions on filters - atleast one in design patterns section and 2-3 on filter creation, configuration and order of invoking filters.
Objective 3.3 and 11.1, 11.2, does mention about filter and Intercepting Filter design pattern

"Section 3: The Web Container Model" of the objectives

Describe the Web container request processing model; write and configure a filter; create a request or response wrapper; and given a design problem, describe how to apply a filter or a wrapper.

I just took the exam a few days ago, and there were several questions involving filter chaining and filter configuration.

Thanks Sandeep and John for your help. Was your exam of 1.4 or 1.5? Just to clear the doubt since I haven't seen anybody saying filters are apprearing in 1.4.

Thanks in advance.

My exam was 1.5, and probably about 5 questions involved filters.
