How is data protected using data integrity and confidentality mechnanism?

As mentioned in SCWCD exam study kit, data integrity is usually ensured by sending a hashcode or signature of data along with the data.

Confidentiality is ensured usually by using encrytption.

anyways for SCWCD , we are not concerned about how channel security is implemented, just rememeber that transport-guarantee element(which is a sub element of user-data-constraint) can take either: NONE, INTEGRAL or CONFIDENTIAL.
