Hello ranchers,
As u already know, i m a newcomer in this forum. But i actively participated in the Prog Cert Study Forum for the last 2 months and a reward past SCJP with 91% yesterday.
I thought i'll enter this forum only after passing SCJP. So i m here now and thinking to go for developer exam, but no hurry.
* First, as i found Khalid Mughal and JQ+ helpful for the SCJP exam, is JDev+ helpful like that?
* Second I have RHE's latest edition and came to know the exam system lightly. Is this book good one as like for SCJP was? Any short briefing is welcome.
* Third, I heard that Core Java 2 is a good book on this topic and knowing UML is good/required. What abt it?
* Fourth, I found Rahul here as Moderator... Rahul, did u have done something here like Without Compiling Series in Threads and Synchronization forum a year's back? I found them when searching this site a few weeks ago.
* Fifth, would u give some links of other resourceful sites on SCJD?
* Sisxth, i have been using JDK1.3/1.4 and NotePad so far to make myself more acquaited with the compiler errors and find them out on my own. Now i think i'll start using TextPad/UltraEdit/Forte or something else according to ur suggessions. What do u tell me to do?
Thnx fellows. I think i'll enjoy ur company.
