I just passed my scjp last week. I still cannot decide what is the next certificate I want to take now . I would like to ask a few quetions here:
1)SCJD and SCWCD, which one would be more demanded in the market now?
2)will the certificate of the SCJD shows how long you took to complete the project?
3)is the SCEA look more attractive to employer?
Any other suggestion is welcome. My job is not related to any java stuff currently, the purpose of taking all these cert is that I hope all these certs could help me to get a more interesting job, may be a java developer later, and may be a software analyst in future.

Hi Narumi,

1)SCJD and SCWCD, which one would be more demanded in the market now?

That's a tough question with the tech sector like it is right now, but probably the SCWCD since it deals specifically with web development. Of course most senior Java positions require either the SCJD or SCEA to get your foot in the door.

2)will the certificate of the SCJD shows how long you took to complete the project?

No.

3)is the SCEA look more attractive to employer?

Probably, but it's tougher to complete and costs more both in money and time. There are two tests and a project for certification.
Hope this helps,
Michael Morris
