I submitted my assignment. Since I did not see automatic failure yet, I think I will assume none has occurred. Those who submitted their assignments and were waiting probably know how hard waiting is Basically, on the edge of my seat... so much effort put into the project, and resolution obviously is approaching since the Sun website says grades are posted within 4 weeks...

I'm sure you'll pass Anton! Good luck!

I'm certainly seeing how hard it is. My GUI is working, I'm reading records into the JTable, and implementing the dbaccess interface methods in data.java.

Holding off on any networking, rmi, exceptions and threading for now until I have a local client able to update the data via the gui jtable.

Is this a good pace for 3 weeks so far? And Is it ok to add those components(rmi, threads, ect) in later once I have something working?

Any advice welcome!

Hey an other urlybird guy..
I am actually doing the exact opposite your are doing... first going through RMI and going to add the downgrade option . Debugging the darn booking. BTW are you implementing the 48 hour restriction?

Anton you have been waiting on this for a while, should get the results anyday now. That is such a terrible wait.

Hi, Inuka! I really think it may be this week. If I may say something on the 48-hour rule... you will invariably face the choice of what to do with rooms that exist but do not fall within the 48-hour booking period. To show them to the client or not to show them. I chose not to show them to save network traffic. Perhaps it was not the optimal decision, then I thought, and provided some flags to easily recompile the application to give the client the option to receive all the rooms.

It's a matter of choice, but I do think that documenting a choice is crucial.

I know the feeling.... I did the essay more than 2 weeks ago, check the site every day but it's not in the list yet...
I still haven't found major drawbacks in my design, what i fear most is the notorious 44/80 locking score... ;-)

Where exactly do the results show up? And on which site?
I have been checking:

http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/

and

https://i7lp.integral7.com/durango/do/login?ownername=sun&channel=sun&basechannel=prometric

but I don't really see where on those sites I should be looking.
