What Java Version?

Hello everybody. I would like to do the certification but I do not know which Java Version I can use. I would like to do it with Java 5 (Tiger). Is this allowed or must I use Java 1.4? Thanks for your help.

As far as I know if you submit the assignment after March then you have to switch to JDK 1.5. I think if you submit prior to that you can do it using either 1.4 or 1.5. I am not too sure.

Welcome to JavaRanch and this forum.

You are definately allowed to use JDK 5 (Tiger) in creating your submission.

1. Thank you for your hints. It's good to hear that I can use Java 5. Java 1.4 will be outdated after a while.

2. My right name is stefan riegels. But because I allready rigistered my self here with that name (and forgott the password ) I had to register new.:-)
