My SCJD Certificate Looks Way Different Than My SCJP Certificate

The other day I finally received my Welcome Kit and it turns out that my SCJD Certificate is not as colorful as the SCJP version. On the SCJD Certificate, the upper portion only has 2 shades of blue, whereas my SCJP has the nicer orangish/purple combination. It is the same situation with the ID card that you stick in your wallet.. What gives?

Although I do admit that the lapel pin is much nicer. It is bigger and says "Developer" in a much bigger font than the "Programmer" on the SCJP pin.

It might have to do with the fact that this is the 2nd Welcome Kit they had to send me because my first one got lost in the mail.

Anyway, is this what you guys are getting in your Welcome Kits?
Thanks for any hints.

I never got a lapel pin with my SCJP, only the piece of paper and the plastic card...
Maybe they'd run out, I don't know.

That is just wrong. Are you you just didn't leave it in the big envelop?

I am sure Sun will send you one if you tell them what happened.

What is the "42" for?

I doubt they'd do that a year later, at the time I didn't even know I was supposed to have gotten one (the form letter sure didn't mention it).

42 is the ultimate answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
It's a reminder that knowing the answer is useless unless you understand what the actual question is.
