Uploading project - don't have access

Hello fellow ranchers,

I have been sort of silent reader of this forum and really enjoyed it!

I run into an interesting issue with Sun and was wondering if anyone else had the same experiences. So today is Wednesday and on Friday I am scheduled to take essay exam. On Monday I tried to upload my project and was not able to do so as the cert site told I have no access right. So I have been emailing back and forth between Sun rep (from who2contact email) since then and they are trying to coordinate this issue with Prometric. They keep asking me crazy questions like "was this paid for under name e.g. 'Joe Shmoe', etc.".

I can't help but say that it is ironic and hipocratic on their part that they are testing us so hard on many different aspects of their technologies but they seemed to be unable to:
- create a decent site where one can login and check their profile, certifications, etc. Their current site is a total joke! Even their login and project submission instructions are cumbersone and misleading.
- create a reliable system where ones payments and certification history is stored in a safe manner and easily accessible by their reps and others.

Ok, so now that I got it out of my chest I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences.

had you followed the instructions on the upload page (which gives an email address to contact if you have problems uploading) it would almost certainly have been resolved the next business day.

That's what I did, sending them a copy of the original email I got from Sun (which includes the person on their part handling the original purchase).

When a get mail from Prometric that I can download assignment (at start) there was also written that you have to request rights for upload. I do it when I finished my work and response was quite qick (10 minutes). No problem with upload then...

Seems like most of the test takers cannot upload successfully in their first try, including me. However, when I email them in US office hour time, Prometric almost response me immediately and grant me the rights to upload.

I guess you should negoitate with them to grant you the upload access, and then take the written test tomorrow.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies. As I said in my original post, I did contact them last Monday and they replied quick but have not been able to resolve this issue since that day...

Well, I hope they do it today.
