Dear Paul, Tony
How do we read the new messages in individual posts. It is really not possible to go on checking each topic to see whether any new message is posted or not. It is not possible to know in which topic a new message is posted and we can go there directly.

I'll let Paul answer that but first, I understand that one has to be a registered user. Also, since cookies are used, and because there may be caching performed by the browser, and since I don't know how the auto login works if the browser has not been closed since the last visit, what I do is exit the browser and open it again, which may not be be necessary but it always works.

Then the topics with new msgs since you last logged in, are shown with first, light bulbs lit, and then within the topic, with red (versus yellow) folders.

I am also learning the hang of this new (for me) messaging system.

I am sorry, but i am unable to see the red bulb as you say even after reading all the messages, closing the browser and again re-opening the same. BTW i am using Windows 98. See if you can help me. Also please go through my post on Constructors and reply back ASAP.
Thanking you
BTW - I am registered

I'm sure glad that he's gone. Now I can read this tiny ad in peace!
