Where does IOException fit in Exception heirarchy?
Throwable
Exception Error
User Defined Runtime
Is it must to handle it ?

Anybody studying for the exam should have access to the JDK and the JDK docs where you would be able to look up the relationship of IOException to the hierarchy much faster than posting here and waiting for somebody to tell you.

IOException's hierarchy is
Throwable -> Exception -> IOException
Since IOException is a checked exception, u must either handle it or declare it in throws clause.
