Friends,
"Better Late than Never" - Thats what justifies my case. I read the
java ranch for the first time in my life yesterday. I thought i would be a loser as i had less than 15 hours left for the exam. And today i gave the exam and i am a SJCP2 now. !!! wow !!! Got 81 % and happy with what i got.
Until yesterday i never knew about the dreaded Socket, MediaTracker and append problems and guess what - i received all these three topics in my exam today. uuhhh... but Reading java Ranch just for a couple of hours helped me. Thanks a lot people ! I would advice and recommend every individual who plans to give the certification to read this site.
The exam covers everything like the size of primitives, exception handling, overriding, threads etc. I can say around 50 percent of the questions were from some Mock exam. I also got a wierd question on Inner
thread. Made the closest of the wildest of guesses there. But make sure fellas that ur concept and basics are crystal clear. This was 4 weeks of intense struggle for me. I gave 2-3 hours a day for a month. First two weeks was just reading everything and the next 2 weeks were the Mock exams. Whatever questions i got wrong there were further explored deeply. Also read the RHE - it has awesome explanation on Overriding, Overloading and
String.
Thanx again and Log Live JavaRanch !!!
