What is a "greenhorn", "ranchHand", "bartender", etc. I see references to points earned by various people. What is the plan?

Each post submitted by a person is passed to a committee of five sheriffs who review the post and rate it on a scale of -1,0,and +1. A particularly stupid post is given -2 and a particularly clever post is given +2 but these are very rare. Each recommendation of the committee is then passed to Paul who reviews every single post submitted to JavaRanch. If he disagrees with the committee's decision, it is passed to a pair of arbiter's, one chosen by Paul and the other by the committee. If they can not decide then the post is given a score of 0.
All posters start as greenhorns. When a poster has reached a positive total of 35 posts, he is awarded the rank of "ranch hand". A poster who goes for six months without receiving a single negative score is awarded the title of "bartender". One year of no negative votes is awarded "sheriff".
This thread gives a more complete and accurate description of the process:

Please ignore Thomas... his "Saint" title is a bit of a misnomer. If those were really the rules -- he'd have been relegated to a greenhorn long ago, and I of course would be far beyond a meer "bartender".
Check out the link he provided above... that should explain things a bit...

Reminds me of something Abraham Lincoln once said

It is best to be silent and thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.

Does this mean if one goes six months without a single positive one can have the status of "Drunk"?
So will y'all let me know when and if I should ever wander off into positive territory?
Or is there a way of knowing a current status (current points total)?

It is very seldom that TP made good post.

Did you follow the link ??
And its POST not points. I think it is clearly written in the end of every post.
Do you still want to know your "points"? Please PM me. Actually TP forgot to tell you that final decision is mine.
