I passed the exam yesterday.
Here are some tips:
1. Make sure you know the complete Math class including all method definitations.
2. Make sure you know mostly used constructors in I/O
3. Make sure you know the concept of garbage collection (1 question for sure).
4. Make sure you know how String and String Buffer work.
Question on above topics are gimme and needs very little preparation.
5. I had about 15-20 question with code. Some with more than 20 lines. Number of lines should not intimidate you. There are no trick questions. Browse the answers before you look at the code. If necessary go back and forth. As there is a seperate window for code, viewing both answers and questions shouid not be a problem.
6. I used the book "The Complete JAVA 2 Certification Guide". The book is complete and sufficient. In addition, used API reference and lessons on Sun's Java site for Collections and Threads. Baught the book Exam Cram, but ended up not using it.
7. Make sure you do some coding.
8. Time is sufficient. My strategy did not involve skipping questions. I used Scratch paper to make a note of questions with less confident answers. Did focus on the question in the hand, ignoring the time.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Jason,
They are not allowed to divulge the questions. No java developer will give reveal questions from past tests. Besides the questions would not be the same. I suggest you study
java well enough to be able to code in java . If you havent met that objective the certification is just a worthless piece of paper.
