I have passed SCJP yesterday with 81% on 5/3/2001. It was a little tough and interesting. I took 4 months while I taught Java 2 in Aptech Computer Center. Before preparation I have a lot of knowledge on OOP & C++ and VB6. I start from Complete reference Java 2. I also spent lot of time on Internet; also download two best books 1. Language Specification and an other is Thinking in Java Second Addition. These books good to start but did not cover exactly the same topics as the exam, so I used the two books to help me prepare. A programmer guide to Java2 and Java Certification by TecMedia Pub. I spent the first 7 weeks reading the certification books. Then the final two weeks I spent taking approximately 30 mock exams I found on the web they all were free. I also read the certification message board on javaranch and javaprepare. I had a small amount of prior experience in java and also experience in other object oriented programming. While I studied, I wrote many small programs and notes to learn the intricacies of what I was reading. I make notes on all six books mansion above and write a note on giving a mock exam.
Need any help send me E-mail

Congratulations Kuldeep!
Can you tell where you took the mock exams (url) so we can check the same?
