HI ALL,
I DON'T THINK RATUL HAS MISSED ANY "OR" BECAUSE THE QUESTION HERE REFERS TO A PULL-DOWN MENU NOT A POP UP ONE . PULL DOWN MENUS I BELIEVE ORIGINATE FROM A MENU BAR. I THINKI JXAM IS WRONG ON THIS ONE UNLESS OF COURSE THE QUESTION IS INCOMPLETELY SUBMITTED. WHAT DO ALL OF U THINK
Regards,
Kaushik

Hi ,

I think kaushik is right.According 2 RHE only Only Frames can contain menu bars ...so ..the answer of this q. should be TRUE.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Folks the answer is clearly answered by
William Brogden an authority on Java at the link
here . The discussion at the above link conclusively
summed the point that THE ANSWER IS FALSE BECAUSE OF "OR" STATEMENT.

Hi Ratul Bahnji,
Can't u have ur full name put in? So it seems u having being studying a lot these days.
I think the answer is TRUE. The Window class is a superclass of Frame. And stating from book... The Window class creates a top-level window. Generally, u won't create Window objects directly. Instead, u will use a subclass of Window called Frame.
So wether creating an application or an applet..... for use of menu bars or pull-down menus .... only Frames got to be used.
Hope u got that Mr. Bahnji

Hi Anjali,
Please refer to my earlier post in this thread. The answer is
FALSE The reason is because of the wording of the question. There was a full fleged discussion in the javaranch the
link to same is provided in my earlier post. The discussion clearly summed up that the answer is FALSE . Further, Bill Brogden got the "Horse" of Stevie Kaligis.
I hope this puts an end to confusion in this thread.
Rgds,
Ravindra Mohan

Hi Ravindra,
i followed u'r link carefully & did read the material & i came 2 the conclusion that u need 2 read ratul's post a bit more attentively. with the famous "OR" The Brogden discussion refers 2 pop up menus wheras ratul's discussion has no scent of the same.
Regards & best of luck,
Kaushik
