The Worst World Cup Referee Ever
I'am not surprise anymore if after this Korea will also beat Germany, and then Brazil or Turkey !

Spain - South Corea - referee - scandal!!!
They said in TV that spanish football association called for an european or south american referee. The corean football association wanted an non-european, non-latino referee. And we got that.
I don't think that he was bribed. He just sufered from a lack of experience in highly emotional matches with lots of T.V. camaras.
European and Latin American referees are used to it from Champions League or from Copa de Libertadores. They know how to do the job without being biassed towards the home-team-side.
I hope that FIFA will learn and change a lot in referee selection for the next world cup. And I now believe that we need some TV-evidence procedure for highly contentious situations, because the game is to fast. Ever watched games from the 1970 world cup? Everything is much slower. Now we need TV-evidence.
Even more important are experienced referees. We don't know in Champions League // Copa de Libertadores the referee-problems we experienced in this world cup.

Fifa won't select another referee from an unexperienced football nation. There will be a european, brasilian or argentinian referee.
Corea will be exhausted on Tuesday. Germany will win 1-0 with an header in the 35. minute. It will be a very boring game. Corea will have 2 opportunities to make a goal through lapses in the german defense, but Oli Kahn will save the situations.

Germany will have made his way to a World Cup final with winning against Paraguay, USA and South Corea.
This is very funny for us in Germany. But there was a mutch better party-atmosphere in 1990 when our team sometimes needed to play a good match to reach the next round.

I am really a big friend of non-discrimination against not-that-developed nations, but I am also a big friend of some quality standards.

I agree, during this worldcup, Korea played very well too, they improved a lot after Holland beated them 5-0 last world cup (Guss Hiddink was Holland's Coach at that time, now he coaches Korea), the quality of Korean's player are execelent, but too bad the referees didn't understand what "fairplay" is.

Germany has to play very...very...clean, use their individual skill, dribbling the ball from back and score the goal, if not (form header or freekick), the referee will dis-allow the goal, trust me !

of course they'll admit it, these guys are human too, only i'm not 100% sure its a "mistake"
i was also wondering about that 3rd umpire thing cricket has, why not implement something similar in football.
i guess thats what the linesmen are for, but thats not working

unless we have some more "mistakes" , brazil is this years best team

Now since Germany is in Finals, I predict it will be Brazil-Germany, and Brazil to win the cup, 1-0.

I like the team.
Reminds me on the 80ties, when ex-decathlonist Hans Peter Briegel, better known as the "roller from the Pfalz", was one of the technically more talented players and the german team made it to the finals in 82, 86.

Congrats Brazil ! They played better than us and They deserved to go to finals.
I am proud of our team . It felt great to support my own team all the way up to the semis. I did not need to cheer for other teams...
I love it, from now on there will be "Turkiye-Brazil" classics, and on Germany 2006 we will beat them.
( Our team used to be the "fix-your-average" team, I hated to see them loosing 8-0,5-0 )
Now we want to be the #3

This is the most unespected final for a german team ever!!!
I see our team in a position like the 1954 team against Hungary. They lost in first round 3:8, but won final with 3:2.
Brazil is much better. We have no chance, but maybe we will win.

Brazil did it in style! And what an achievement for Ronaldo - 12 World Cup Goals for Brazil, equal to none other than Pele!!
After this game, Germans justified their second place in the world football order. They did really well, but Brazil had their name written on the cup already! Good luck for 2006, Germany!!
Again, the game of Football Wins!!
