Is Java really used by anyone for Commercial games for PCs? Looking to program some educational titles, so being able to run on Mac and PC would be advantageous... but then I recently read that the java runtime on Mac is really hosed up... is this true?

Any links to high quality games made with Java?

Is c# a better choice for PC development nowadays? Obviously it wouldn't work on a Mac :-(

I think Java for the Mac is currently stuck at version 1.5, but you'd have to check to be sure. So if you want your application to be compatible you'd just have to make sure to use the Java 1.5 JDK (and test it on a Mac, of course).

No, that's no longer true. 1.6 is available for systems with 64-bit processors.
