Don't u think it should compile and run but it gives Run-time exception.
CAn u somebody clarifies this.

You can't store a parent object in a child reference. You can only go the other way. You can store a child object in a parent reference.
//illegal
Button b = (Button)(new Object());
//legal
Object o = new Button();
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
