We know ServerSocket and Socket support layer 4 (TCP/IP and UDP/IP) communication.
How to suport Layer 3 communication(IP communication)?
Thanks,

I do not think Java supports raw sockets.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
