How do I use java.net.HttpURLConnection when I have firewall setting for the url? I want to check wthether the requested url is available at a particular point of time. But when I have firewall setting for the page to be requested how can I make use of this?

I mean I want to enable firewall client and give the ISA Server configuation for this url connection. How can I do this in Java?

Do you mean you have a proxy between your application and the URL you want to see?

Yes. I have a proxy between my application and the page I am requesting to connect from my application.

You need to set the proxy host and port like this:


and possibly set username and password like this:
