Corba Vs RMI

Dear All,
I have a small stuff quetion to you..
Currenlty I am using the Corba service(Orbix) for my machine critical Application..
Now as per the business plans we are moving to Java RMI..
We wants to replace the Corba service with Java Rmi..
Now the few questions
1)will RMI provides guarantee delivery?
2)is RMI is better than CORBA?
3)What is the best way to understand the capabilties between two
4)What's the prons and cons between Two..
Pls give me the Perfect answers..

It is very big topic to discuss.
1. RMI uses JRMP
2. CORBA uses IIOP.
If you change ur application from CORBA to RMI, you will loose your interoperability.
Since RMI works only for Java Objects. CORBA works on all knids of Objects.
So application can be written in any language if u r using CORBA.
