when i try to start rmiregistry from my folder it starts with the following statement:

security properties not found. using defaults.
and then when i start my server it gives UnmarshalException.

Shishir,
I don't know if this will solve your problem, but java doesn't like directories with spaces in the names. So if you are on a Windows platform, you shouldn't use the "Program Files" directory, for example. None of the directories in the path should contain spaces in their names.

my folder name is java and it is in c:\
i think you thought "my folder" as my folder name.

How are you starting your actual server program? Are you using the -Djava.rmi.server.codebase and -Djava.security.policy options?
