I am a big fan of MyFaces but it wouldn't be fair to only mention the one.

ADF Faces - I don't know if they are truly open source, but they are free to use.

In our expeience on a previous project Oracle's ADF Faces adds some very nice rich controls to the mix, but customizing their look can be tricky. (I understand they are working on making the controls more customizable in this area.) And you should also be aware that Oracle is very open with the fact that the API to these controls may change significantly from release to release.

That said, it is perfectly feasible to use the JSF RI or MyFaces in conjunction with the rich components available in the Early Access release of ADF (which is free).

Hi everyone,

I am evaluating all of your suggestions : MyFaces, Oracle ADF JSF and JSF RI in deep details. I will get back to you as soon as I complete the evaluation.

If you know any other open source implementation, please let me know. I will investigate them.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Andy
