Personally, I'm using Spring to manage the persistence layer and JSF to manage the presentation layer.
I've never used the Spring web beans, but I had someone contact me a while back who was a big Spring fan, but thought Struts would be more appropriate for a project he had in mind. Struts and JSF weigh about the same to me, though JSF is a closer approximation to pure MVC.
