The Hibernate in Action book is a very good resource. Amazon

If you haven't checked it out already, the Hibernate webpage also is a great resource. Included is some very helpful documentation that should help you get started.

A google search on Hibernate will also provide a lot of great links.

Another good book for new Hibernate users is Hibernate Quickly.
