JAX-RPC is applicable for writing a Web Service endpoint or a Web Service client in Java. You can use SAAJ for writing SOAP applications in Java, and use JAX-RPC for writing Web Services applications in Java.
SOAP is the protocol that Web Services use to communicate.
A Web Service has a corresponding WSDL file: an XML document that contains all the information a client needs to know to take advantage of the Web Service.

I need to write a Web Service as quickly as possible. Just getting into the various Sun XML API's. I take it there is no way to write a Web Service (server) using SAAJ? Would you write the server using JAX-RPC?

Pankaj,
Unfortunately "pankajay" does not comply with our naming policy so I'll have to ask you to change it.
Thanks.

Seriously? That's what you're going with? I prefer this tiny ad:
