This link is also good http://www.mgateway.com/wsdlClient.htm .
On the other hand, its also good to install .net framework atleast for testing purpose.

Did you guys check Web Service Studio..It isn't bad either..but it needs .NET Framework ..which you would need anyways if you have a .NET client.
