Web service method synchronized or not

Hi,

I plan to use JavaScript fromn web browser to access web service methods. The mehtod calls could take some time. Will my javascript wait until the web methods return? How do I control that?

Yes it will wait until the method processing of your web service ends.

But you can design some asynchronous web services patterns if you need to ( with callback or polling methods)

I know the web server method is synchronized by nature and you could implement the asychronized way. However my concern is from JavaScript side(web browser), does it allow synchronization method call?

As Eric explained in the other group, it won't work in JavaScript. So I still need to break the JavaScript. Sorry about the duplicated post, as I want to attract the attentions from experts in different areas.
