Just last night I had the opportunity to hear a presentation on J2ME at the Chicagoland Java Users' Group meeting. It was put together by Matthew Ferris, one of the groups organizers. I (a relative newbie to Java and especially J2ME) thought he did an excellent job of covering what you need to know to start dabbling with it. Check out his PowerPoint presentation at http://www.objectsinc.com/download.html
