Okay I've done a little with the KVM. Create an app that handles pen events to just increment a counter. Pretty basic. I tried writing a simple beaming app, but the receiver on the other Palm doesn't seem to pick it up. If the receiver isn't running I get an error on the receiving app that the KVM application must be running to except data. So the send is working.
Any ideas?
Also, whats MIDP? Would I need that to use on a non-wireless Palm OS 3.5??

The old spotless kVM is deprecated. J2ME is Sun's vision of mobile Java. MIDP is the Mobile Information Device Profile, which is a part of the kVM. See Scott's posting at http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum41/HTML/000242.html for some links to get you started.
