J2ME has trimmed down version of J2SE ! But you won't find it as J2ME API. You have to look under CLDC and MIDP APIs.

An exact link would be more helpful.
I searched for quite a while but could not find it.
I need the API for high level classes like List and RecordStore... I guess it is at the MIDP API... but what link brings me there ?

J2ME documentation. Download the MIDP specification in ZIP format and JavaDoc is inside it.
