i m just wondering is the Java Bluetooth API is free?? and where can i get it ?

It is free. You can download the specification for JSR-82 (Java APIs for Bluetooth) from JCP.org at http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=82

I m having trouble on compiling DiscoverListener.java of javax.bluetooth
it say that :
location: interface javax.bluetooth.DiscoveryListener
public void servicesDiscovered(int transID, ServiceRecord[] servRecord);
^
i already complied ServiceRecord.java
i tried to import javax.bluetooth.*; in DiscoverListener.java
help ~

Hi,

I'm also trying to create Java web application and also Java desktop application for my inventory program.

I have bluetooth scanner. And I would like to know what Java API to use.

I know that some API can get the Bluetooth input as keyboard input. But I don't want that. If I get it as keyboard input, it will interrupt my program's interaction.

I'm looking to see if there's an API that I can get bluetooth input in the background. So my Java program can manipulate the input and do the work.
