hi,
I did one application in j2me.While installing the application the following question occurs
"application is untrusted do u want to install " with yse r no options
i already mentioned the security as trusted in the WTK n im working with Nokia 6630.In nokia developer suite also i did the same.Eventhough i did the above security option it s asking again
can anyone tell me how to do eliminate this r what can i do to make the application trusted

i just have same problem with you.
i made some program connect to server over http.
http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/articles/permissions/index.html this site explain how to make trusted domain and give permission to connect over http. this working in emulator but not working in real device.
the JAR file still contain untrusted domain and always ask permission every try connect to server over http.
kindly help to give step by step how to solve this problem

I believe www.verisign.com is the signer.

Some companies at one time offered personal keys to sign email with that you might use..

I do not know if the one verisign used to offer is still free however..

You may be thinking of Thawte. I use their e-mail signing certificates to digitally sign all my mail.

These won't do you any good for signing MIDlets. You need a code signing certificate. Most (all?) carriers require a certificate issued by Verisign which will set you back $400/year. It's a racket.
