Hi
I just passed the exam and I wanted to know more about the logo that they suppose to send you and you can use on your buisness card. What logo is it ? Can I use it on my personal webpage ?
Is it the Java steaming cup ? or is it Duke ?
Because I want to make a CV on my personal site but can hardly wait 3 weeks to receive it ! If somebody could tell me which logo it is --> I could find it and use it in advance since it's only for my personal page (that only potential employers will see) Is it big ?
Because now I want to find a job in Java and for sure want to take advantage of being certified...
Your help is appreciated...

There are many restrictions to using the logo. These restrictions are laid out in detail in the certification packet you will receive shortly from Sun.
I think they will allow you to put the logo on a personal calling card but not on a business card. And you are not allowed to change any of the colors of the logo or separate the text from the graphic. You are not allowed to make it a prominent feature on the card either. There is also a restriction that does not allow the logo to be included in your resume. You are, however, free to state that you are a "Sun Certified Programmer for the Java™ 2 Platform".
Basically, with all the restrictions Sun puts on the use of the logo, the only thing you can really do is go to the website and admire it

I think the resume restriction has been lifted. On my logo agreement it said I could use it on my resume but if I used another companys letterhead then I cant use the logo and the overall size of the logo can't be bigger than the combined size of your name and address. I dont think you can use it on your website.

I got my packet within a week or so of the test, you'll see, like Junilu said, there are a lot of restrictions on its use.
hope that helped

Hi Mario
Have you ever find out about the Logo business? I have recently passed the exam and I would like to put the logo on my resume too. Any tips?
Thanks
Vinay
