hi,
public class AQuestion
{
private int i = giveMeJ();
private int j = 10;
private int giveMeJ()
{
return j;
}
public static void main(String args[])
{
System.out.println((new AQuestion()).i);
}
}
If you compile the above code it is not giving any error.But how?
How can u assign the value of j to i even it is declared after variable i.
Can any one give me the reason behind this....?
Regards
Saravanan

Hi, forward referencing is possible indirectly via methods as given in ur code. the o/p in you case will be i=0; Try gving int i= j and this will fail.
regards,
shankar.
