Once you're a registered member, you're free to post wherever you like, except in "Moderators Only." You need to be a bartender to post in there. That's where the moderators all get together and talk behind everyone's back. Just kidding.
However, if you're planning on preparing for the SCJP exam, you've come to the right place. This is where you'd want to post study questions.
The Cattle Drive is a place you can go to get some practice writing Java and have some experienced coders look over your work. You should also check out the Rules Roundup as this game will help you prepare for your exam.
I hope you enjoy it here,
Corey

Corey explained perfectly -- Welcome to the JavaRanch! You'll see a few different "titles" for people here.
Green Horn -- Like yourself, some one who's just come to the JavaRanch.
Ranch Hand -- Once you rack up 30 posts, you're automatically graduated to a ranch hand.
Bartender -- in short, a forum moderator. You're nominated by other bartenders and asked to become one.
Sheriff -- a very powerful bartender. They've been around for awhile and help out a lot around here. They also moderate some of the forums.
Trail Boss -- the ALL powerful ones.
You can find out more about all of us individually here.
