well i just came out of the prometric after a hectic 4 hrs exam..mannnn beleive me its too much ..so many questions ..so little time ...its 160 with 240 mins roughly 1.x min for each question.. now this 1.4 for sure will be tougher than 1.2 ..plenty of questions on assertions and important thing is that there was quite a number of REAL BRAINERS ..well one tip for people who are gonna take it tomorrow there is a intial survey abt various chapters (like garbage collection etc...etc..) and for the survey question based on Garbage collectors i selected the option as NOVICE and my god when the test started the first 15 (cannot beleive) were from garbage collection... well might be this is a coincidence but i strongly think it has something to do with that..

I would have to agree with you there, Vivek.
I chose Intermediate for GC & Threads. The first 30 Qs were of GC & Threads.
The same thing crossed my mind as well... not a coincidence. After reading ur post, I am getting convinced on that !

I don't think there is any connection. I chose novice for Threads and GC but I got those questions right in the end.

Got a lot of Qs on Threads & GC & all of them were pretty code intensive. So, not as easy as the SCJP2 1.2 exam

I would have thought the beta would've concentrated more on assertions and collections - it seemed like a bit of overkill of Threads and GC to me, when I took it.
Of course, that was 161 questions total. It would be interesting to see how they distribute the objectives on the production 1.4 exam. I can bet it will still have a large % in Threads/GC, perhaps even 15 out of 60!
Did you notice any mistakes on the Thread & GC questions on the part of Sun? I thought one or two had some asking for more answers that I could provide, but maybe I was in brainburn by then (Thread/GC didn't come until the second half of the test for me).

well there were some kind of typing mistakes and the worst thing in the certification world happened to me , guess what?? at the last moment around 30 mins was all that was remaining and i got threads stuff as the last part my god i was already brain drained and with this threads popping as the last section i almost got mad ...well slim hopes of making this through ..until some heavenly miracles happen ...
